Malaysia's first ever indoor stadium and remains as one of the largest purpose-built indoor venues in the country.
Stadium Negara was officially opened on 19th April 1962. It forms part of a suite of post-independence public buildings in Kuala Lumpur and is listed as a National Monument under the National Heritage Act 2005.
Designed by architect Stanley Jewkes, Stadium Negara is the first indoor stadium in Southeast Asia, that has also held many notable events hosting the likes of Muhammad Ali.
